In January, 2015, Mr.L.Enkh-Amgalan, Vice-President of Research Affairs and Cooperation, Mandakh University, visited Tohoku University to have a bilateral meeting with represenatives of Graduate School of Economics and Management. During his visit at Tohoku University, he expressed opinions to establish an academic collaboration between two universities.

On March 26, 2015, Tohoku University representatives led by Mr.Jiro Akita, Dean Graduate School of Economics and Management visited Mandakh University. During the visit, two parties signed the MoU on Cooperation. Within this agreement, two universities will collaborate in the areas of joint research and educational activities, inviting faculty members and researchers to the conferences, lectures and workshops, and exchange of faculty members and students.   

From September 13-15, 2015, the representatives from Tohoku University visited Mandakh University and had a meeting with Mandakh University colleagues and students. The representatives were Tohoku University professors Mr. Toshifumi Takada and Mr. Gaku Ueno, and Mr. Hiroko Inokuma, Senior Manager of Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC,Japan, and Mr.Hisanori Kurashige, and  Director of Innovative Trade LLC.    

Within the framework of MoU, Mandakh University students have successfully attended the online event “Connect the World” hosted by Tohoku University on September 30, 2021. The project was conducted by 2 phases and there were 37 students from Mandakh University to attend this project.  The students have contacted with other foreign university students on digital for the period of 3 months having conversations, sharing ideas, discussing topics, learning from each other as well as sharing experiences. The students from the world joined under the topic “Sharing cultures” and introduced each other about their cultures and customs. Based on their exchanging the information and learning about cultures of the countries, the students prepared 5 minutes presentation for the event.

O.Tugsbayar, the 2nd course student for Program software, School of Information Technology, Mandakh University has successfully attended the event to present about Mongolian Naadam Festival and national dress. Every country has unique culture and tradition. Specially, Mongolian culture attracts much attention from participants and a lot of interesting questions were asked from our presenter.

From 2021, two universities has been successfully implementing Student Exchange Program. Our students, Ms.B.Ichinkhorloo, 4th year student for Engineering-economics and Ms. B.Bayasgalan, 2nd year student for Marketing management have attended EMEX student exchange program  for Fall semester and Spring semester in Tohoku University.
