SCHOOL OF BASIC SCIENCES AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZES “1911.12.29” HISTORY WEEK

The Department of Sciences and Engineering organized a “History Week” under the theme “1911.12.29” from December 22–29, in commemoration of the 114th anniversary of the restoration of Mongolia’s national independence. The event aimed to encourage faculty, staff, and students to learn about and take greater interest in their country’s history.

As part of the event, competitions in essay writing, poster design, and video creation were held among students, and winners were selected.

Essay Writing Competition:
A total of 21 students from levels 1–4 submitted essays. The winners were:

  • 1st place: D. Michidmaa (Level 1)
  • 2nd place: B. Emujin and A. Uuganzaya (Level 1)
  • 3rd place: A. Uchral (Level 1)

Poster Design Competition:
Out of 35 submitted posters, the winners were:

  • 1st place: B. Ariuntsetseg (Level 1)
  • 2nd place: A. Enkhbaatar (Level 4)
  • 3rd place: B. Burmaa (Level 2)

Video Content Competition:
A Level 1 student, A. Nomin, who created video content on the theme “1911.12.29” using various AI tools such as Evenlabs, Chimege, ListenMe, Gemini AI, ChatGPT, LumaLabs, OpenArts, Flow, Kling AI, and CapCut, was awarded a certificate and a cash prize.

In addition, as part of the “History Week,” informational content promoting the historical significance of restoring national independence was widely shared. Associate Professor Dr. O. Battuya delivered a lecture for faculty members titled “December 29, 1911 – A Historically Significant Day.”

Furthermore, lecturers O. Battuya, P. Gantuya, and Ts. Nyamaa organized the dissemination of information related to this important historical date, promoting awareness through digital displays about the restoration of national independence.
