As part of its efforts to minimize negative environmental impacts, improve waste management practices, and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mandakh University has introduced an initiative to collect and recycle used plastic bottle caps and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic containers.

The collected materials are delivered to INMO Recycling, a recycling start-up company, where they are processed into recycled plastic sheets.

Students enrolled in the Interior Design and Engineering programs then use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to transform these recycled plastic sheets into various products, including signs, labels, and other items.

This initiative promotes waste reduction and resource reuse while providing students with opportunities to apply their technical knowledge and practical skills to environmentally sustainable production.

Recognizing the vital role of forests in mitigating climate change, reducing air pollution, and increasing water resources, Mandakh University launched an annual tree-planting initiative in 2019.

Under the slogan "Plant Trees, Leave a Living Legacy," the University identifies suitable locations for tree planting each year and carries out environmental activities under the name "Mandakh Grove."

The initiative brings together faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders to make tangible contributions to environmental protection and sustainability.

To date, approximately 4,500 trees have been planted through the "Mandakh Grove" initiative.
