The meeting on “Sharing experience to implement the Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 standards at the Mandakh University ” was held by the initiative of Mandakh University under the support of Mongolian National Council for Education Accreditation (MNCEA), on May 3, 2019.
The meeting was participated by over 40 monitoring and evaluation officers representing 28 universities and colleges. From the meeting, the participants have obtained the awareness and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards of Quality Management System, at the same time they were informed, regarding preparation work required for ISO introduction, its implementation process and importance.
At the opening of the meeting, Prof. G. Nanjid, President of Mandakh University said that “The implementation of ISO 9001:2015 is more helpful for current organizations to plan their operation by ensuring its connectivity, manage, monitor, stabilize and improve the process, at the same time it becomes an important operational leverage that the colleagues of current organizations can work together under the one particular goal for the strenghtening and development of their organizations. Moreover, it brings more advantage to the organizations as well as universities to accomplish and satisfy the international and national accreditation requirements”. She continued that “The main goal of higher education institutions is to prepare our future young students to be well educated professionals. Therefore, we have gathered here today to share our experience on how we implemented ISO 9001:2015 standards at our university and exchange opinions with you, our counterparts”.
Mr. J.Ariunbold, Vice-President of MNCEA, Director of Office emphasized in his speech that “The main input of higher educational institutions is secondary school graduates. So, there is a certain need for secondary schools to be accredited in order to prepare a good input for the higher education institutions”. He informed participants about latest activities carried out by MNCEA including publishment of accreditation manuals and translation of quality certification manuals from English into Mongolian as well as an issued official document which recommends every educational institution must have internal quality service. He also expressed his appreciation to the management of Mandakh University for this beneficial meeting and handed the samples of manuals to Prof. G. Nanjid.
At the end of the meeting, all participants have been handed manuals on ISO 9001:2015 standards which were published based on Mandakh University’s experience to implement Quality Management System.
