Every year, “Times Higher Education” (THE) holds “World Academic Summit” to promote and address global challenges, and its solutions, and focus on collaboration between universities and educational institutes and provide a platform for sharing insight information among them.
This round of academic summit was held between the 7th and 9th of October, 2024, under the theme ‘Making a difference: The purpose of universities in a rapidly changing world’, focusing on universities’ social responsibilities and obligations in making a difference on people’s lives. Turbadrakh Chuluunbat, professor and prorector of Academic Affairs at Mandakh University participated in “World Academic Summit-2024”.

The following points were discussed at the World Academic Summit:
Universities should embrace innovation, prioritize interdisciplinary education, foster digital skills, enhance global collaboration, and focus on sustainability to prepare students for evolving challenges in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world.
Teachers and students should integrate AI into university studies for personalized learning, enhanced research, efficient grading, and collaborative projects, fostering critical thinking and preparing for AI-driven career landscapes.
The main function of Times Higher Education is to rank global universities and colleges according to certain criteria. For ranking, Times Higher Education considers teaching methods, research, international outlook, and industry income.
